OSS will conduct an assessment of your existing law enforcement and jail policies & procedures. One key focus of the OSS review process includes areas of operation which frequently result in the filing of 42 US Code § 1983 Civil Rights and personal injury lawsuits. Our individualized and detailed reviews are provided in pro-active assessment reports which include a detailed analysis of the agency’s policies & procedures, staffing, training, and The Deadly Dozen® law enforcement or The Big Ten® jail liability issues.

Development or Re-Development of Policies & Procedures:

OSS will develop or re-develop your agency’s policies and procedures.
The process is easy:

You provide the general data that we need;
OSS will integrate agency data and form initial policy drafts;
OSS will then submit each policy to you for specific internal modification; &,
OSS will consult with you on final policies. Questions regarding the constitutionality of your policies or potential remaining liabilities will be addressed during this consultation process.

Your final policies will be provided on CD (hardcopies upon request). Prices for this in-depth service range from $2,500 to $10,000 (depending upon final services requested and complexity of work).
